Eeep, I’ve been waiting for January 20th for ages! Today I started my advanced nutrition training, which will allow me to order and interpret specific lab tests, to more deeply develop my consulting practice. By implementing these scientific tools, I will better be able to assess a client’s health status with regard to hormonal balance, adrenal function, food sensitivities and gut health, mineral sufficiency, and more. These test results can be invaluable for pinpointing nutritional deficiencies, and supporting the restoration to health.
Breakfast: Honestly, just the same odds and ends I’ve been eating all week. My morning food game is not on fleek.
Lunch: Parsnip mash with gravy, and a little tweak to my roast turkey – lettuce and radicchio cups with turkey, cucumbers, grainy mustard and my homemade mayo.
Dinner: This may seem ridiculous, but my husband had “Brisket: The Redemption” night. The one he picked up the other day was super small, and he’s fantastic with the smoker, but the meat was definitely not as tasty as it should have been (guess it was good that it was small :D). So, I bought a gorgeous 6# locally raised brisket and he made it his project for the day. Mission accomplished! I made another round of slaw, a spicy mustard BBQ sauce (no sweetener), a fresh tray of kale chips, and just for husband, some organic creamy polenta.
Treat: More almond butter. I love almond butter.
Daily Steps: If I hadn’t bumped up my goal, I would have been a winner HA! Cleared the 8k mark, but still shy of 10k. It will be interesting to see if I can even keep up 8000 with the added hours of school work. But – goals!
